Nicci Rea of Sunshine

Nicci Rea is a Kingston-based performer and French Immersion teacher whose bilingual folk-pop songs blend her theatre background with heartfelt storytelling. 

Inspired by Loreena McKennitt, Raffi, Alicia Keys, Splash ‘N Boots and Annie Lennox, she brings warmth, playfulness, and tender melodies to young listeners and families.

Services include interactive performances, events, parties, musical princess parties and appearances, as well as custom songwriting and jingles.

Nicci Rea est une artiste basée à Kingston et enseignante en immersion française. Ses chansons folk-pop bilingues allient avec brio son expérience théâtrale à un récit sincère et touchant.

Inspirée par Loreena McKennitt, Raffi, Splash ‘N Boots et Annie Lennox, elle émerveille les jeunes auditeurs et les familles grâce à sa chaleur, son enjouement, ses marionnettes et de tendres mélodies.

Ses services comprennent des présentations interactives, des spectacles pour événements, des animations de fêtes, des apparitions de princesses musicales, ainsi que la composition de jingles et de chansons sur mesure.

Bio

Nicci Rea holds a BFA in Theatre Performance from York University and a B.Ed. from Queen’s University’s Artist in Community Education program. She has taught in French Immersion at the elementary level for over twenty years.

Nicci has entertained audiences of all ages throughout the Kingston region, performing in plays, musicals, the Limestone Chorale, and at family‑friendly community events. She is also a singer‑songwriter whose work reflects her love of storytelling, music, and creative expression.

Nicci Rea est titulaire d’un baccalauréat en interprétation théâtrale de l’Université York et d’un baccalauréat en éducation du programme Artist in Community Education de l’Université Queen’s. Elle enseigne en immersion française au primaire depuis plus de vingt ans.

Nicci a diverti des publics de tous âges dans la région de Kingston, se produisant dans des pièces de théâtre, des comédies musicales, avec le Limestone Chorale et lors d’événements familiaux. Elle est également auteure-compositrice‑interprète, inspirée par son amour du récit, de la musique et de la création artistique.
